At the heart of the rebrand is a bold, digital-first logomark that reflects Wingu’s multifaceted identity. The name “Wingu” means “cloud” in Swahili, and the mark cleverly transforms depending on perspective: a cloud when rotated, a data chart in vertical view, and an abstract map of Africa pointing to Djibouti — Wingu’s origin and one of its five data centre locations.
Complementing the logo is a custom icon set that visually communicates Wingu’s core services and values. These icons echo the geometry of the logomark while remaining flexible and expressive, supporting both brand storytelling and usability.
With a robust digital toolkit and a sharp, contemporary web presence, Wingu Africa’s new identity reflects its role as a future-facing leader in Africa’s digital transformation. The new website serves as a comprehensive digital hub for Wingu Africa, showcasing its key markets, services, leadership and regional presence. Built on a flexible CMS, the site empowers the Wingu team to easily manage and grow their library of articles, announcements, and updates. Designed for clarity and performance, the platform not only reinforces Wingu’s brand positioning but also supports its expanding role as a thought leader in East Africa’s digital infrastructure landscape.
