Rolasoul offers a fresh perspective on House music, formed by legendary musicians Simon James and Adam Helal. The duo follows an intuitive, infectious groove, channeling a deep connection to the rhythms of house.
designlaboratory* was tasked with crafting a brand identity that visually harmonises with Rolasoul’s sonic signature. The identity distills the essence of Rolasoul’s sound — a pounding four-on-the-floor beat layered with hypnotic, flowing rhythms — into a singular, memorable mark. Four geometric shapes, representing the kick drum pattern, spiral into a form of an “R”. Subtle adjustments in the ‘tails’ of the beats create a sense of motion and flow, mirroring the duo’s dynamic energy.
Alongside the visual identity, designlaboratory* designed and built a custom website where listeners explore the music, discover upcoming tour dates, and learn more about the legends behind Rolasoul.
