Heston Blumenthal
Celebrating 10 years of The Fat Duck
Heston Blumenthal is a British celebrity chef and proprietor of many outstanding restaurants, including The Fat Duck, one of five restaurants in Great Britain to have three Michelin stars. To celebrate 10 years of The Fat Duck restaurant - and its many success stories - Blumenthal commissioned us to design a coffee table book. We not only designed, but managed all collaborators and production that were needed to create this one-of-a-kind book. Following a wide release, the design won several awards and great reviews.

Capturing the character
Whilst creating a range of stationery for The Fat Duck restaurant it was important to capture the character of experimental chef Heston Blumenthal. In addition to envelopes, compliment slips, letterhead, and business cards the design included food and wine menus - items directly concerned with the event of dining. In response to the challenge of the brief to convey 'experience', the stationery was created using a variety of papers chosen for their tactile qualities, while the experience theme was continued with menus that are styled on ancient folk toys and storybooks in embossed leather, adding to the exquisite sensory dining experience for which The Fat Duck is recognised.
